Steven R. Sundheim and Associates, LLC began in 1996 as the law offices of Steven R. Sundheim. The practice was a continuation of his ongoing career since 1984 as a defense attorney, including nine years at one of the largest defense firms in the USA where he defended cases in the NYC venues and also oversaw numerous cases as supervisory counsel throughout the country - traveling to many foreign venues to oversee and direct case strategy in person. In California, Texas, Pennsylvania and Alabama he was also admitted pro hac vice to participate as trial counsel in cases he was supervising.

Mr. Sundheim’s law offices quickly gained the respect of many adversaries, competitors and liability insurers  from its successful outcomes in a myriad of complex (and some simpler) cases. The Firm also became the White Plains offices of Goldberg & Spitzer in 1997 and subsequently merged in 1999 to become Spitzer, Sundheim & Brey, LLC with offices in both New York and Connecticut. The Firm practiced insurance defense work (via Mr. Sundheim) as well as plaintiff’s employment law and civil rights matters on behalf of individuals.

In 2002 Steven R. Sundheim & Associates, LLC became the Firm’s name. The Firm litigated literally hundreds of serious personal injury cases with great success, as well as handling related contract, construction law and insurance issues - with cases and trials in all of the NYC venues and surrounding counties.  The majority of this work was on behalf of defendants, but some was also on behalf of injured individuals. One notable plaintiff’s case involved over a million dollars as compensation for wrist and knee injuries sustained in a sidewalk trip and fall accident (a recovery that was far greater than the proposed $5,000 settlement the client’s first attorneys had been urging him to take when he came to us for a review of the case value).  The Firm also branched out into commercial litigation at this time which stemmed from its construction law experience as well as insurance coverage.   From 2008 through the end of  2010, Mr. Sundheim joined the firm of Jones Garneau, LLP as a partner, combining his practice with theirs.

In January of 2011, Mr. Sundheim reopened the Firm - Steven R. Sundheim & Associates, LLC, in downtown White Plains, New York.

The Firm’s primary focus is on the representation of individual plaintiffs who have suffered from accidental injuries.  More than 25 years of experience successfully defending lawsuits on behalf of insurance companies is now being put to work helping injured individuals and their families seek and obtain fair compensation when disaster has struck them.
